Taylor Dockins

The College of Communications honors the life of Taylor Dockins, a Cal State Fullerton alumna who earned her Bachelor of Arts in communications with a concentration in journalism in 2023. Taylor passed away on June 2, 2024, at the age of 25 after an eight-year battle with cancer. She is remembered across campus for her achievements as a student, an athlete and a member of the Titans community.

Taylor joined CSUF Softball in 2018, where she made an immediate impact by throwing a five-inning no-hitter during her freshman season and earning Big West Pitcher of the Week honors. She later stayed connected to Titans Athletics through media work, serving as a co-host on the Titans Sports Network Preview Show and contributing as a play-by-play and color analyst for Titans Softball home games. Her achievements and continued involvement with the program led to her induction into the Titans Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2025.

Taylor completed her degree from the College of Communications while navigating significant medical challenges, demonstrating determination and commitment to her academic path. Her work with Titans Athletics media and her presence within the college community remain part of the contributions she made during her time at CSUF.

Destiny Morris

The College of Communications honors the life of Destiny Morris, a third year communications major with a concentration in journalism. Destiny was a member of the Titans Dance Team, a sister of Zeta Tau Alpha and a member of Tusk Magazine’s 26th edition, where she worked as a writer, a model and served on the outreach team. She brought warmth, laughter and a genuine love and curiosity into every space she entered.

Destiny passed on Nov. 14, 2025, due to two undetected congenital heart conditions. She is remembered as someone who lived with creativity and purpose. She was the definition of a creative being a dancer, a writer, a pianist, a vocalist, an actress and a painter. She approached every opportunity with a desire to grow, and she carried that same energy into the communities she joined across campus.

Her influence continues in the communities she shaped.

“Destiny lived with generosity and intention, and the college will remember her for the impact that lives on in the people who loved her and in the communities she strengthened.”

Gregory Ferraro

Her work in the classroom, her contributions to Tusk Magazine and her involvement across student organizations reflect the commitment she brought to her academic and creative pursuits. The connections she formed, the projects she contributed to and the spaces she helped build remain part of her lasting presence within the College of Communications.
